As part of his long-term collaboration with adidas, Lionel Messi received the new boot model, Signature X Crazyfast ‘Bienvenido A Miami’(Welcome to Miami). These boots mark Messi’s relocation to the USA and the start of his games with the MLS team, Inter Miami. The boots are currently available in turquoise and pink.

Over the past few months, adidas launched several collections dedicated to the legendary Messi. In August 2023, they released the Infinito Messi model, inspired by the Argentine’s game. Only a month later, Las Estrellas came out, showcasing a special design celebrating Argentina’s win in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The launch of ‘Bienvenido A Miami’ makes sense – all eyes in the football world are on the main team in Florida, and Messi has become a cultural icon in the USA in just a few months.

Messi made his debut in the new boots during the home match against ‘Cincinnati,’ stepping onto the field in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, even the presence of the great Argentine couldn’t save ‘Inter Miami’ from a 0:1 defeat.

At the start of his career, Lionel Messi signed a personal long-term contract with adidas, under which he receives around 22 million dollars per year. Additionally, for his move to the American continent, adidas will pay Messi a certain percentage of its earnings.

Adidas has been partners with MLS since the league’s first season in 1996. They currently provide gear for all 29 participating teams, supply the official ball, and sponsor the ‘footwear’ category. MLS and adidas signed a new deal for $830 million, covering the period from 2024 to 2030.

At the age of 35, Lionel Messi has won 38 titles in club football, including four victories with Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League (in 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2015). With the Argentina national team, he became a world champion in 2022, won the Copa America in 2021, and achieved Olympic gold in 2008. Messi holds a record seven Ballon d’Or(Golden Ball) awards, the top individual honor in global football.
